Cover reveal for If I Lie by Cory Jackson

A powerful debut novel about the gray space between truth and perception.

Quinn’s done the unthinkable: she kissed a guy who is not Carey, her boyfriend. And she got caught. Being branded a cheater would be bad enough, but Quinn is deemed a traitor, and shunned by all of her friends. Because Carey’s not just any guy—he’s serving in Afghanistan and revered by everyone in their small, military town.

Quinn could clear her name, but that would mean revealing secrets that she’s vowed to keep—secrets that aren’t hers to share. And when Carey goes MIA, Quinn must decide how far she’ll go to protect her boyfriend…and her promise.

German rights!

Just got word that the German rights to What She Left Behind have been sold to the new IVI imprint of Piper Verlag! It’s for YA books with crossover appeal. Fellow Appocalypsie Lissa Price’s book, Starters, has been acquired there as well. So fun especially since my husband is a German teacher and he was able to pull a Piper Verlag book off his shelf!

Cover (and title) reveal!!

I’m so excited to be able to share my new title and cover art!!! Thanks so much to Annette and the Simon Pulse team for a beautiful cover and awesome title! I love the woods, how the words hide a little under the trees, and the font they used for my name. On top of all that, Sara even looks like I would have imagined her! Here it is:

Anna and the French Kiss

I just finished Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. Such a fun story! Lots of character development and a great job making us feel like we were really in Paris! Watch for Stephanie’s next book, ,

Lola and the Boy Next Door, coming out September 2011.

Welcome to my blog!

My debut novel, Riding Backwards, will be available from Simon Pulse in Summer 2012! Here’s a sneak peak:

Sixteen-year-old Sara and her mom are running away from home. But not until tomorrow. Tonight there’s one last dinner with Dad, who still asks why her dead brother is late for dinner.

Sara’s mom says to meet her at the Dairy Dream. Then she never shows up. And everything in the suitcase Sara had packed has been put away. Neatly. Like her dad would do.

Where is Sara’s mom?  Will Sara find her before it’s too late?

Beginning at the end of March 2011, I’ll be blogging with a great group of YA writers at yafusion.blogspot.com.
