I always love a Linwood Barclay novel and this one was no exception. I was pulled right in and finished it in one day.
In this fast-paced novel, a man finds his parents dead (and naked) in their bedroom, victims of an apparent murder-suicide. Except it turns out that only one of his parents was actually in that room and what happened is far from what it seems.
The novel is seamlessly told from several different viewpoints using first person for the main character and third for the detective and other characters as needed.
The ending was good, though I felt it went a touch too far in an attempt to move one step further than what one might expect. Leaving me feeling a bit sad. In my head, I’ll remember it without the final twist.😊
Full of motivation and layers, this mystery/thriller is not to be missed!
